On February 8th and 9th, HPSC hosted the NeloRowing Conference with the presence of the duo Nuno Mendes and Pedro Fraga, two athletes with more than twenty years of experience in this sport (about fifteen in high performance) and who achieved excellent international results for Portugal.
Nelo is the most recognized, valued and award-winning brand in the world of water sports, and is a world leader in high performance kayaks and canoes, from boat design to service and technology. More than 75% of the vessels that have participated in the main world and continental competitions are of the brand Nelo, equipping the nations of the world. Nelo's boats collected a total of 93 Olympic Medals; and only in 2016, in Rio de Janeiro, they won 27 medals in 36 possible.
Dozens of representatives and agents from the rowing and kayaking area attended the conference. At the end of these two days of intense work, the speakers expressed their satisfaction with the high quality of facilities and indoor and outdoor conditions provided by this training center. The partnership between the HPSC of Pocinho and NeloRowing, which has already chosen this HPSC as its training center of choice (http://www.trainingcampsportugal.com/listing-category/rowing/), has proven to be a catalyst collaborative work in favor of national sport, particularly in rowing and canoeing.
